Founded in 2015 and based in Govinapura, Tiptur, Tumakuru district, Karnataka, Navodaya Educational & Charitable Trust (R)
brings education, healthcare, and livelihood support to families who need it most.
Our story
Navodaya was registered in 2015 by a small group of Tiptur residents who saw children dropping out of school for want of fees, books, or a ride to class — and families going without care because a clinic visit was out of reach.
What started as informal collections among neighbours has grown into an organized trust running schooling support, health camps, skill training, and shelter — still rooted in the same neighbourhood, still run by local volunteers.

Compassion
We start from the family’s need, not a form. Whether it’s a child needing surgery, a student needing books, or a family needing a meal, our volunteers listen first and act quickly.
Education first
A child kept in school changes a whole household’s future. From free schooling and scholarships to computer and tailoring classes for young adults, we fund the years that matter most.
Local & direct
Every rupee reaches someone in Tiptur, hand to hand. Our volunteers deliver supplies, arrange health camps, and visit homes directly, with no middlemen between a donation and the family it helps.
Dignity
Help given as a neighbour would give it, not as charity on display. Every family we support is treated with respect, whether at a health camp, a home visit, or our shelter.
Skill development
Computer training and tailoring classes give young people and women a practical, income-earning skill, so support turns into independence, not dependence.
