Students should make their life meaningful through noble ideals
Tumakuru: Students must set high ideals for their lives and grow into responsible citizens who bring pride to their parents and society. If they make good use of their student days, their entire life will become meaningful. This message was delivered at the valedictory and prize distribution program of the residential camp for students, organized by local educational and social organizations.[prajavani]
Guidance for Students
Speakers noted that in the present age of information and technology, students have plenty of facilities but also face many distractions. Because of misuse of mobile phones, television, and the internet, many children are losing interest in books and serious study. Students were advised to control these habits, to use technology only for learning, and to avoid wasting time on entertainment that does not benefit them.[prajavani]
They stressed that real education is not only about scoring high marks in examinations. True learning should help students develop discipline, good character, respect for parents and teachers, and concern for society. If these qualities are cultivated from a young age, students will be able to achieve success in any field and also become good human beings.[prajavani]
About the Camp
To give students such value‑based guidance, a special camp was conducted during the holidays. Around a large number of students from different schools in the area took part and stayed at the camp for several days.[prajavani]
During the camp, sessions were held on yoga, meditation, moral stories, personality development, literary activities, sports, and cultural programs. Resource persons from various fields such as education, health, law, and social work interacted with the students and answered their questions. Through these activities, children learnt about time management, self‑confidence, leadership, and social responsibility.[prajavani]
Role of Parents and Society
The speakers pointed out that parents too share responsibility for the success of their children. They should not confine their concern only to marks and ranks, but must also watch their children’s behaviour, friends circle, and daily habits. Giving love along with firm guidance will help children grow in the right direction.[prajavani]
Society, organizations, and local leaders were requested to support such camps and educational programs regularly. By providing a healthy environment free from addiction and violence, society can help the younger generation build a bright future for the country.[prajavani]
Felicitation and Vote of Thanks
At the closing ceremony, prizes and certificates were distributed to students who had shown excellence in various competitions and activities held during the camp. The guests on the dais congratulated all the participants and encouraged them to carry forward the lessons they had learnt.[prajavani]
Organizers thanked the teachers, volunteers, donors, and well‑wishers for their cooperation in conducting the camp successfully. They expressed the hope that more such programs would be organized in the coming years so that students can shape their lives with noble ideals.[prajavani]
